Saskatoon Transit experiencing temporary disruption to reloadable smart card sales and reloads

Saskatoon Transit is currently experiencing a temporary disruption affecting the sale and reload of reloadable smart cards.

The disruption was caused by a routine software update to Saskatoon Transit’s retail sales platform, which is preventing vendors and the Transit Customer Service Centre from issuing new or reloading smart cards. The error source has been identified, and Saskatoon Transit is working closely with its vendor to restore service as quickly as possible.

Customers with active fare products on their reloadable smart cards can continue to travel and validate their fares as normal. Mobile ticketing through the TGo and Transit apps remains fully operational, and cash fare payment continues to be accepted onboard.

Fare payment is still required. However, if a customer is unable to reload their smart card because of this temporary outage, they will be permitted to board while the issue is being resolved.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while this matter is resolved.

Updates will be shared as they become available at saskatoontransit.ca.
