Effective September 1, Saskatoon Transit will no longer accept old smart cards as valid fare passes. New reloadable smart cards and mobile tickets will continue to use the validator near the bus entrance. Learn more.

The following changes will begin Sunday, August 30, 2026. Riders can expect more route adjustments during our regular schedule changes in Fall, Winter and Spring.

City Council approved a new Saskatoon Transit Bylaw at its Regular Meeting on July 29, 2026, that establishes a single framework covering fare payment, customer conduct, transit property and enforcement. The bylaw supports a safer, cleaner and more comfortable transit experience for riders and employees, beginning September 1, 2026.

With September being one of Transit’s busiest times of year, riders, students and families are encouraged to prepare for their first trip and be aware of several updates that may affect how they travel this season.
