Warman Road traffic signal testing begins Tuesday, May 19
The City of Saskatoon will begin testing new pedestrian crossing signals on Warman Road at Hazen Street and at 5th Avenue North next week to prepare for activation. The traffic signals will operate in temporary flash mode starting at 10 a.m. on May 19 through May 21, weather and testing dependent.
During this testing period, the traffic signals crossing Warman Road at Hazen Street will flash red in all directions for drivers to come to a complete stop before proceeding when safe. The traffic signals crossing Warman Road at 5th Avenue North will flash amber, requiring drivers to proceed through the intersection with caution.
The signals will be activated ahead of May 31 when bus service begins at the new adjacent bus stop platforms on Routes 30 and 35, providing new access for residents in the area.
Drivers, pedestrians and cyclists are reminded to pay close attention to signage and use extra caution.
To plan a trip on Route 30 and 35, use the Transit App or Google Maps Transit, or check out route schedules at saskatoontransit.ca/routes. These new bus stops will be part of the future Link rapid transit blue line. Learn more at saskatoon.ca/link.
