Saskatoon Transit detours start April 6 for College Drive construction

Starting Monday, April 6, Saskatoon Transit will temporarily adjust Route 17 due to construction along College Drive and into downtown. This work includes University Bridge arch repair, water main rehabilitation on 25th Street, and Link station construction for the new rapid transit system.

As projects progress, additional temporary adjustments to Routes 4/40s, 16, and 17 will be implemented. Riders should anticipate some delays during construction.

• Phase 1: Stage 1A (April 6)
  • Route 17: Detours via 14th Street and Cumberland Avenue
• Phase 1: Stage 1B (Late April)
  • Route 16: Temporarily terminates at USask
    • Alternate downtown routes: Routes 4/40s, 8, 6, and 19
  • Route 17: Detours via 14th Street and Cumberland Avenue
  • Routes 4/43/44/45/46: Continues downtown via Cumberland Avenue, 12th Street, and Broadway Avenue
  • Route 517: Temporary shuttle service between Clarence Avenue and Place Riel via Cumberland and 12th Street
    • Monday to Saturday: 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
    • Sunday: 08:00 to 18:30
• Phase 1: Stage 2 (Late June)
  • Transit routes return to regular routing. Some stops will remain closed, but temporary stops will be added as needed

Transit service alerts and real-time bus information are available on third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit on desktop.
