Saskatoon Transit Route 10 detour starts October 26 as College Drive construction progresses
October 23, 2026 - 5:21 pm
- Route 10: Detours via 14th Street and Preston Avenue
- Route 510: Temporary shuttle service between Cumberland Avenue and Place Riel via Cumberland Avenue, Osler Street, Wiggins Avenue, 14th Street and Preston Avenue
- Monday to Friday: 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Starting Monday, October 26, Saskatoon Transit will temporarily adjust Route 10 and implement Route 510 shuttle service as construction progresses along College Drive and Cumberland Avenue. During construction, Cumberland Avenue will not be accessible from College Drive, but pedestrian access along Cumberland Avenue and across College Drive will remain open.
Riders should anticipate delays during this work, as detours will be in place for approximately four to five weeks.
Transit service alerts and bus information are available on third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit. Trip planning apps will not show temporary detours for routes affected by College Drive construction, so riders are encouraged to plan ahead.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at transit.services@saskatoon.ca or 306.975.3100.

Saskatoon Transit tools to launch online reloading options October 20
October 19, 2026 - 1:18 pm
Starting October 20, Saskatoon Transit customers will have more ways to manage their fares with Version 8 of the Transit Go app (TGo) and an updated online Rider Portal.
These updates build on the launch of reloadable smart cards, which brought mobile ticketing and physical smart cards together on a single fare platform. Beginning October 20, customers can download or update the Transit Go app or visit the online Rider Portal to purchase fares, reload smart cards, check balances, view purchase history and manage their accounts online for most standard fare products, without visiting a vendor or the Transit Customer Service Centre.
This modernization allows up to five smart cards to be linked to one account, making it easier to manage fares for family members or groups. The desktop portal will support printable ticket purchases. It also introduces an optional stored-value feature, allowing customers to add funds to their account, pay fares using a Tap & Ride barcode, and purchase or reload fare products using their balance.
Riders who already use mobile tickets can continue using them as usual. Participating vendors and the Transit Customer Service Centre also remain available. Cash will continue to be accepted on board.
Some fare products, including those requiring eligibility verification or entitlement renewal, may still require an in-person visit.
Creating a Justride account helps customers manage their linked cards and account information. If a linked smart card is lost, customers can contact the Transit Customer Service Centre to ask about cancelling the card and transferring eligible remaining value or fare products to a replacement.
For more information about the updates and available features, visit saskatoontransit.ca/mobile.

Public engagement begins on Saskatoon Transit Bus Network Redesign
October 14, 2026 - 3:36 pm
Saskatoon residents are invited to help shape the future of the city’s future transit network as Saskatoon Transit launches Phase II of the Bus Network Redesign public engagement process.
The Bus Network Redesign supports the future implementation of the Link Bus Rapid Transit network and explores how Saskatoon’s transit system can better serve a growing city through improved reliability, more direct routes and stronger transit connections. Residents are being asked to review and provide feedback on two conceptual transit network scenarios that reflect different approaches to balancing service coverage and ridership.
The engagement period runs until November 22, 2026, and includes an online survey and a series of open houses across Saskatoon seeking feedback on two conceptual plans. Residents can review the proposed concepts, ask questions of the project team and provide feedback on how the future transit network should evolve.
Feedback gathered during this phase will help Saskatoon Transit develop a recommended network design for future consideration. The conceptual plans are not final, and public input will play an important role in shaping the next phase of the project. Two additional projects are open for engagement alongside the Bus Network Redesign: a new design for bus stop signs and a proposed change to the Link Red line so it goes to Confederation Hub.
Open houses will be held throughout the city between October 19 and November 14, including locations at Rusty MacDonald Library, Centre Mall, Place Riel, Confederation Mall, City Hall, Cliff Wright Library and Saskatoon Sports Centre.
Residents can learn more, review project materials and complete the survey at Bus Network Redesign | Engage.
