Update: Reloadable smart card sales and reloads resumes August 11
Saskatoon Transit has resumed reloadable smart card sales and reloads following a temporary disruption. Customers can now visit a participating vendor or the Transit Customer Service Centre to purchase or reload a new smart card.
The disruption was caused by a routine software update to Saskatoon Transit’s retail sales platform, which prevented vendors and the Transit Customer Service Centre from issuing new or reloading smart cards.
As a reminder, starting September 1, 2026, old smart cards will no longer work. Riders with old cards are encouraged to exchange them for a new reloadable smart card before September 1. The $5 card activation fee is waived when exchanging an existing card. Existing cards with balances must be transferred at the Transit Customer Service Centre.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while this issue was resolved.
