Saskatoon Transit adjusted services & holiday hours for Canada Day, July 1

Saskatoon Transit will have adjusted services and hours of operation on Canada Day, Wednesday, July 1. Make your trip easier by using Saskatoon Transit for first‑ and last‑mile connections to Canada Day celebrations to and from the downtown area.

Fixed-route transit will operate holiday service hours from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. (July 1 fares apply). 

  • Please consult the mobile app Transit to plan your trip.
  • After the fireworks, free buses will leave from locations on either side of the river:
    • Location #1: 3rd Avenue and 19th Street
    • Location #2: Victoria Avenue and 11th Street
    • Buses will stop when requested along the routes noted in the Canada Day 2026 special event bus map.
    • Reminder: trip planning for travel after the Canada Day fireworks will not be available in the apps.

OnDemand transit service will not be available. 

Access Transit will operate holiday service hours from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.     

  • Trips must be booked in advance as per normal procedures. 
  • Customers are reminded that subscriptions do not apply on Statutory Holidays.
  • All Access Transit pickups and drop-offs for Canada Day celebrations will be at the temporary stop on 19th Street and 2nd Avenue near the Nutrien Tower.

Transit Customer Service Centre will be closed for walk-in customers, but phone lines (306.975.3100) will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.   

Plan your trip before heading out using real-time apps such as Transit or Google Maps Transit. The Transit app provides options to combine trips with bikes, e-scooters, Uber, or taxis, and lets you pay your Saskatoon Transit fare with just a few taps.
